Senior Analyst
About the role
The Senior Analyst develops and implements advanced reporting, analytics, and AI-enhanced solutions to guide The Nature Conservancy’s fundraising strategies. They collaborate closely with Membership Acquisition and Strategy teams to deliver data-driven and machine-assisted insights to solve business challenges and achieve strategic goals.
Responsibilities
- Develop and generate reports, and analyze and interpret data.
- Work with teams across the organization, including accounting, finance, and direct marketing programs.
- Manipulate relational data and build predictive models using statistical software packages like SAS, Python, or R.
- Incorporate AI tools such as machine-learning platforms, natural-language processing tools, or automation frameworks into analytical workflows to improve efficiency, insight generation, and decision-making.
- Design and lead training initiatives, manage documentation, and enhance resources.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in quantitative field and 6 years related experience or equivalent combination.
- Experience designing and generating reports, and analyzing and interpreting the data.
- Experience working with teams across the organization.
- Experience with accounting, finance, and direct marketing programs.
- Experience manipulating relational data.
- Experience with SQL and data warehousing tools.
- Experience with OLTP and dimensional data models.
- Experience with Excel, including macros and pivot tables.
- Experience with statistical software package (SAS, Python, R or similar) and building predictive models.
- Experience incorporating AI tools, such as machine-learning platforms, natural-language processing tools, or automation frameworks into analytical workflows to improve efficiency, insight generation, and decision-making.

Benefits
Salary range: $95,500 – $142,000. Additional benefits include health care benefits, flexible spending accounts, a 401(k) plan with an 8% employer match, parental leave, accrued paid time off, life insurance, disability coverage, employee assistance program, and other life and work well-being benefits.
Pay
The starting pay range for a candidate selected for this position is generally within the range of $95,500 – $142,000. This range only applies to candidates whose country of employment is the USA. Where a successful candidate’s actual pay will fall within this range will be based on a variety of factors, including, for example, the candidate's location, qualifications, specific skills, and experience.
Schedule
Position location is negotiable within The United States. Washington, DC metro area preferred.
