Robert Half is seeking a detail-oriented Benefits Administrator for a remote contract opportunity supporting an organization based in White Plains, NY. This role is ideal for an HR professional with experience administering employee benefit programs, maintaining accurate records, and providing exceptional employee support.
Responsibilities
- Administer employee benefits programs, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, and retirement plans.
- Coordinate new hire enrollments, qualifying life event changes, and annual open enrollment processes.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employees regarding benefits questions and eligibility requirements.
- Maintain and update employee benefits records within HRIS and benefits administration systems.
- Process employee benefit elections, terminations, and status changes accurately and in a timely manner.
- Partner with benefits vendors and insurance carriers to resolve employee issues and ensure effective service delivery.
- Assist with leave administration, including FMLA, disability, and other employee leave programs.
- Audit benefits data and records to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies and applicable regulations.
- Generate reports related to benefits enrollment, participation, and compliance requirements.
- Support HR team initiatives and participate in process improvement efforts related to benefits administration.
- Maintain confidentiality of employee information and sensitive records.
Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in benefits administration, human resources, or a related role.
- Working knowledge of employee benefits programs and benefits enrollment processes.
- Experience utilizing HRIS and benefits administration platforms.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a remote work environment.
- Knowledge of FMLA, COBRA, ACA, and other benefits-related regulations is a plus.
Schedule
- Monday-Friday, standard business hours
