Under general supervision and acting on own initiative, performs advanced administrative duties for the Extended Power Uprate Manager. Requires detailed knowledge of company operations, organization procedures, and personnel. Makes independent decisions regarding planning, organizing, and scheduling work within established guidelines. Analyzes complex information requests, determines trends and conflicting demands, and makes recommendations to management.

Responsibilities

  • Perform advanced administrative duties for the Engineering Project Extended Power Uprate (EPU) department.
  • Act as a core resource for the EPU department, demonstrating flexibility and openness to change.
  • Exercise discretion and independent judgment to analyze complex information, identify trends, and resolve conflicting demands.
  • Obtain, analyze, and act upon feedback from customers and suppliers to enhance communication among management, employees, and outside agencies.
  • Identify critical and urgent issues; design and implement administrative policies, training, and information flow.
  • Identify and correct work or material inefficiencies and deficiencies.
  • Organize and prepare requested materials for key station Core Management meetings and communications, including Steering Committees.
  • Maintain oversight and responsibility for timely, accurate, and clear communication of commitments and expectations.
  • Manage the upkeep and accuracy of the station’s Steering Committee intranet site, including timely uploads and new tracking methods.
  • Administer performance monitoring, assist with contracts, fiscal year budgets, salary plans, performance plans, and strategic/business plans.
  • Identify areas of concern to ensure performance aligns with guidelines and overall budget.
  • Collaborate with the Nuclear Power Generation Manager (NPGM) to enhance communications and resolve administrative, organizational, and employee issues.
  • Anticipate organizational needs, particularly regarding employee development and communications, and coordinate actions to address them.
  • Analyze options, alternatives, and solutions to impending issues to maximize management’s awareness and effectiveness.
  • Initiate employee and management meetings to further communications as necessary.
  • Act as a proactive team player with administrative assistants, executive assistants, and management.
  • Plan and participate in combined management/organizational workshops to promote teamwork, core values, and communication.
  • Generate and present ideas for improvements; assist in executing new ideas and suggestions.
  • Promote performance management development, implementation, and celebrations through creative ideas and continuous feedback.
  • Serve as a member of an Emergency Response Team (ERO) and in an outage assignment when directed.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of seven years of progressive administrative experience, including leadership responsibilities and independent decision-making authority.
  • Extensive interpersonal communication skills to interact effectively with all levels of management, employees, suppliers, and customers.

Pay

$34.71 - $52.07 hourly (midpoint: $43.39). This is a non-exempt, salaried position with overtime pay for hours worked over 40 in a pay week. Offers are typically made between the minimum and midpoint of the range, based on experience, qualifications, market rate, internal equity, and budgetary allowances.

Eligible to participate in the annual incentive plan, with earnings based on employee performance against defined metrics and company goals.
