About the role

Support the PMS 400 Shipbuilding Program Office across all programmatic aspects at the Washington Navy Yard (WNY) in Washington, D.C. Contribute to one of the Navy’s most advanced surface combatant programs.

Responsibilities

  • Provide critical programmatic support to ensure successful acquisition, construction, and delivery of the next-generation destroyers.
  • Coordinate, track, and administratively execute acquisition program requirements.
  • Develop, coordinate, and track lifecycle sustainment documentation, including task planning sheets and 7300's.
  • Maintain program management tools and reporting mechanisms to monitor progress, identify risks, and support overall program execution.
  • Support program review activities by collecting inputs, tracking action items, and assisting with reporting on PMS 400 efforts.
  • Coordinate with program office stakeholders, support organizations, and contractors to facilitate communication and execution of assigned program activities.

Requirements

  • An Active or Current DoD Secret Clearance.
  • A Bachelor of Science degree in engineering or business.
  • Four years of experience supporting NAVSEA clients or similar/related experience.
  • Expertise in MS Suite of applications (Word, Excel, Visio, PPT, etc.).
  • Extensive experience in developing project plans, acquisition plans / documentation, schedules, budgets, Life cycle sustainment documentation and status reporting to meet contractual requirements for a large portion of a program.
  • Experience in integration of weapon systems and equipment on ships.
  • Ability to travel 10% of the time.

Qualifications

  • US Citizenship.
  • Associate's Degree and 2 years of additional experience will be considered in lieu of Bachelor's Degree or a High School Diploma/GED and 4 years of additional experience will be considered in lieu of Bachelor's Degree.

Skills

  • Navy professional writing experience.
  • Power and Energy systems Experience.
  • ACAT I Shipbuilding support experience.
