Senior Accounting Manager
About the role
This role breaks down as 40% finance (cost accounting, reporting, controls), 40% FP&A (budgeting, forecasting, analysis), and 20% business partnering with manufacturing operations. Reporting to a regional finance leader, you will oversee monthly close and track financial performance against budget, including variance analysis, financial analysis, reconciliations, budgeting, and controls. You will also manage day-to-day accounting operations in collaboration with a small team. In addition, you will ensure compliance, oversee journal entries, and help implement risk mitigation strategies. Streamlining processes and reducing risks are a key part of this role, as is collaborating with company leadership to align financial strategies with larger company goals.
Responsibilities
- Oversight of monthly close and tracking financial performance against budget
- Variance analysis, financial analysis, reconciliations, budgeting, and controls
- Management of day-to-day accounting operations
- Ensuring compliance and overseeing journal entries
- Implementing risk mitigation strategies
- Collaborating with company leadership to align financial strategies with larger company goals
Requirements
- 6+ years of relevant accounting and finance experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance highly preferred
- Advanced proficiency in Excel
- SAP system experience ideal, prior ERP experience required
