Senior Accountant (Temporary)

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly and quarterly revenue calculations and account reconciliations
• Collaborate with the Accounts Receivable team on order-to-cash processes
• Review new revenue contracts for revenue accounting considerations
• Support integration of new revenue streams into existing processes
• Contribute to development, rollout, and continuous improvement of policies, processes, and internal control documentation
• Manage deliverables for annual audit and quarterly reviews with external auditors
• Aid in testing and implementation of new revenue recognition software
• Support ad hoc projects as necessary

  Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • CPA or CPA candidate preferred but not required
  • 2-4 years of experience in public accounting serving publicly traded clients or a mix of public accounting and public company work experience
  • Technology, SAAS, or healthcare experience preferred but not required
  • Experience with SOX 404 and internal controls over financial reporting
  • Project management including consistently establishing and meeting timelines
  • Ability to learn and understand financial accounting systems/software
  • Capable of working cross-functionally and managing multiple priorities

    About the Role

    The Senior Accountant will have significant interaction with members of the Accounting, FP&A, and Sales teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong ability to interpret and apply revenue accounting principles and clearly communicate revenue accounting matters to various audiences including those outside of finance.
