Responsibilities
- Calculate and input monthly accrual and correction/adjustment journal entries in Oracle ERP system.
- Aid in completing monthly analyses by comparing actual vs. budget/forecasted balances and researching accounting transactions to confirm accuracy, validity, and understanding of financial activity.
- Perform monthly account reconciliations for accounts assigned and ensure proper presentation of account balance.
- Gather information from other Cheniere departments to understand non-recurring financial transactions, as needed.
- Aid in forecasting and analyzing project and departmental costs for monthly presentations using Cheniere’s Hyperion forecasting database and system.
- Participate in special projects, as needed, for providing information to management and solving specific inquiries.
Requirements
- Understanding of financial accounting standards and procedures.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
- Experience with Oracle v12 ERP system.
- Knowledge of Hyperion Essbase/Smartview and Hyperion Planning.
- Excellent analytical and deductive reasoning skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently.
- Ability to multi-task and function in a highly dynamic atmosphere.
- Able to interact with all levels of management.
- Commitment to customer service.
- Able to work in a team-oriented environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting is required.
- Active CPA certification, or currently actively working towards CPA certification, is highly preferred.
- Minimum of three (3) years of relevant professional experience within corporate accounting, operations/project accounting, external auditing, and/or forecasting and budgeting.
- Pipeline and Oil & Gas accounting experience preferred.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a TWIC card.
Skills
