Responsibilities

  • Own, manage and oversee all treaty reinsurance accounting processes and transactions for Az Commercial external cessions.
  • Manage closing and reporting processes, including ad-hoc reports and analyses across various accounting regimes.
  • Ensure compliance with internal and external requirements, maintain data accuracy and integrity, and generate reports and reconciliations for internal and external needs.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including ATT/Finance colleagues, reinsurers, brokers, auditors, and tax authorities.
  • Participate in ad-hoc tasks and projects related to the Aurora reinsurance structure.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years professional experience in reinsurance accounting of P&C.
  • 3-5 years experience in project and team work in an international and dynamic environment.
  • Proven ability to navigate in a complex/matrix environment.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of IFRS 17, local GAAP, regulatory requirements.
  • Master's degree preferred, preferably in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or Accounting.
  • Licenses or certifications in Accounting (e.g., CPA, ACCA) are preferred.

Qualifications

  • Ability to make sense of complex issues and respond to complex/ambiguous situations.
  • Experience in applying artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) to improve business processes and decision-making.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills.

Skills

  • Big data automation capabilities (e.g., Alteryx, SAP Analytics Cloud).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of global reinsurance processes and underlying business transactions.
  • Experience with regulatory reporting and compliance.

The annualized base pay range for this role is $115K to $135K USD.
