Responsibilities
- Own, manage and oversee all treaty reinsurance accounting processes and transactions for Az Commercial external cessions.
- Manage closing and reporting processes, including ad-hoc reports and analyses across various accounting regimes.
- Ensure compliance with internal and external requirements, maintain data accuracy and integrity, and generate reports and reconciliations for internal and external needs.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including ATT/Finance colleagues, reinsurers, brokers, auditors, and tax authorities.
- Participate in ad-hoc tasks and projects related to the Aurora reinsurance structure.
Requirements
- 3-5 years professional experience in reinsurance accounting of P&C.
- 3-5 years experience in project and team work in an international and dynamic environment.
- Proven ability to navigate in a complex/matrix environment.
- Comprehensive knowledge of IFRS 17, local GAAP, regulatory requirements.
- Master's degree preferred, preferably in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or Accounting.
- Licenses or certifications in Accounting (e.g., CPA, ACCA) are preferred.
Qualifications
- Ability to make sense of complex issues and respond to complex/ambiguous situations.
- Experience in applying artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) to improve business processes and decision-making.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
Skills
- Big data automation capabilities (e.g., Alteryx, SAP Analytics Cloud).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of global reinsurance processes and underlying business transactions.
- Experience with regulatory reporting and compliance.
