Senior Accountant (Expenses and Accruals Experience)
About the role
This is a hybrid role based in New Jersey, Philadelphia, and Raleigh with the expectation to be in the office at least 3 days a week for collaboration and connection.
Responsibilities
- Own assigned general ledger accounting and month-end close activities, including journal entry posting, account reconciliations, flux analyses, and all associated reporting requirements, to ensure timeliness and accuracy.
- Prepare and review accruals across a multi-entity global organization.
- Partner with FP&A, AP, and other budget stakeholders in multiple time zones to ensure expenses are properly classified, accrued, and explained.
- Identify, implement, and maintain best in class systems and processes, including automation and AI-assisted workflows, to ensure an efficient and effective accounting team.
- Support external audit requests, internal controls documentation, and technical accounting research as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting; with strong working knowledge of US GAAP
- 2-6 years of accounting experience demonstrating increasing responsibility
- Advanced Excel expertise (complex formulas, pivot tables, Power Query, and macros/VBA)
- Demonstrated track record of automating and improving accounting processes
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across time zones and cultures
- Flexibility and adaptability – Must be comfortable with shifting priorities, new tools, and evolving processes
Qualifications
- Must have a CPA
- Experience with high growth software company and/or private equity ownership
- General ledger and other accounting systems experience
- Prior NetSuite experience

Pay
The base salary range for this role is $80,000 to $90,000 USD. Final compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, education, and other relevant qualifications.
