Responsibilities
- Review, verify, and process invoices in a timely manner.
- Prepare and process check runs, ACH payments, wire transfers, and international wire transfers.
- Reconcile accounts payable transactions and resolve discrepancies.
- Maintain vendor files and respond to vendor inquiries in a professional manner.
- Record and apply incoming payments (checks, ACH, wire transfers) to appropriate accounts in a timely manner.
- Monitor bank accounts to ensure payments are up-to-date.
- Reconcile bank accounts at the month-end.
- Generate client cash reports using AgiLink accounting software for monthly client deliverables and for in-house review of client disbursements and updating disbursement reports.
- Deliver monthly and quarterly financial statements to clients and/or client service teams in a timely and accurate manner.
- Prepare Excel worksheets containing analysis of client financial data such as broker analysis and construction or investment history spreadsheets.
- Prepare year-end 1099s, requesting and filing W-9 forms.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and internal controls.
- Ensure confidentiality of client’s records and files when dealing with client staff and 3rd party advisors.
- Discreetly hold and manage online access codes for banks, brokerage accounts and credit card activity.
- Alerting Director or EMFR manager to possible leads for cross-selling and for client asset protection issues.
- Performing work of staff accountant when position is either missing or temporarily out of office.
- Special projects as needed.
- Cooky/coordinator with tax group and provide information as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
- 4 - 6 years full time experience in Accounts Payable, preferably with individual accounting, small companies.
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
- Detail-oriented and Team Player.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel and accounting software.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational, time management, and customer service skills.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
