Senior Accountant (Dublin, OH)
General Purpose And Scope Of Position
The Senior Accountant will manage financial records, ensure accuracy in reporting, and support the month-end close process. This role is crucial for maintaining the financial integrity of the organization and involves collaboration with various departments.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare, review, and maintain accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring all entries are recorded correctly and deadlines are met.
Maintain the general ledger, reviewing entries for accuracy and ensuring proper classifications.
Perform account reconciliations for all major accounts, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
Aid in external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations for variances and inquiries.
Prepare and analyze financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement.
Review and create new vendors to be entered and maintained in our ERP system.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
At least 5 years of experience in accounting or finance, with at least 2 years in a senior role
Supervisory experience is preferred, but not required
Key Skills And Abilities
Strong knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP) and financial regulations
Proficiency with accounting software, preferably MS Great Plains or MS Dynamics 365 and advanced Excel skills
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Exposure/knowledge of foreign currency translations
Experience with financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting is a plus
Compensation And Benefits
In compliance with all states and cities requiring transparency of pay, the base compensation for this position ranges from $74,300 - $99,110. Salary may vary based on location, skills, and experience.
This position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus and vacation, holidays, health, dental, vision, mental health, and retirement plan participation, including an employer contribution of up to 7% into your 401(k).
