Senior Accountant
Job Summary
Beacon Hill has partnered with a client in the Tysons, VA area seeking a Senior Accountant to join their revenue accounting team. This role will support month-end close, account reconciliations, financial reporting, and general accounting operations while ensuring compliance with GAAP.
Responsibilities
- Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities.
- Support financial reporting, audits, and compliance initiatives.
- Analyze financial data and investigate account variances.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve accounting processes and reporting.
- Affiliate with special projects and other accounting functions as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Experience in revenue accounting, public accounting, or a technology-focused environment.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables and complex formulas.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- CPA or CPA candidate.
- Combination of public and private accounting experience.
- Experience with Power BI or other reporting tools.
- ERP system experience, including implementation exposure.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 or similar ERP platforms.
