Title: Senior Accountant, Cost Accounting Hiring Organization: Connexion Systems & Engineering Compensation, Benefits, And Employment Type Duration: Full-Time, PermanentPay rate: $90,000–$130,000 annually Job Location: Bedford, MAWork Model: 100% onsite Schedule: Monday – Friday, 1st shift Job#: bh19552 Description We are seeking a Senior Accountant with cost accounting and inventory experience to join the finance organization of a publicly traded medical device company. This role is ideal for an accounting professional who enjoys working closely with manufacturing, operations, and supply chain and has a strong understanding of inventory accounting, standard costing, manufacturing variances, and financial controls. You’ll support a specialized product division while playing a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of inventory and cost-of-sales reporting. What You’ll Do Maintain and analyze inventory valuation for raw materials, work-in-process, and finished goods in accordance with U.S. GAAPAnalyze manufacturing variances, including labor, overhead, material usage, and purchase price variancesReview inventory transactions, including receipts, transfers, and adjustmentsReconcile and maintain inventory records and investigate discrepanciesPerform inventory and cost-of-sales analysis to support quarterly auditsParticipate in annual physical inventories and cycle count programsMonitor inventory valuation and identify risks related to excess and obsolete inventoryDevelop inventory, operational, and product-line reportingPrepare and analyze inventory performance metrics and tissue yield reportingSupport financial and operational analysis for a specialized product divisionPartner with Operations and Supply Chain to improve inventory processes, workflows, and controlsPrepare transfer pricing analysis supporting global business policiesSupport SOX compliance and internal control initiativesParticipate in ERP and process improvement initiatives What We’re Looking For Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred4+ years of professional accounting experienceExperience in cost accounting, inventory accounting, or a closely related functionStrong understanding of inventory accounting and standard costingExperience working with ERP systemsAdvanced Microsoft Excel skills, including PivotTables and VLOOKUPsExperience in a publicly traded or SOX-regulated environment strongly preferredManufacturing or medical device experience preferredStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to work cross-functionally with Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, and FP&AComfortable working in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple priorities Why This Opportunity?
