Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Lead the month-end/year-end close process, including preparing journal entries and reconciliations.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal policies, and support internal/external audits.
- Maintain, analyze, and reconcile balance sheet and general ledger accounts.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Supervise and train junior accountants or bookkeepers.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Experience: 3-5 years of experience in public or corporate accounting.
- Certification: CPA license is often required or preferred.
- Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, Yardi).
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of GAAP and tax regulations.
