Senior Accountant (Audit Non-Profit)

Description

The Senior Accountant (Audit Non-Profit) role at Sikich involves working closely with engagement leaders and other staff to ensure the efficient and timely completion of financial statement audits. Key responsibilities include conducting audit tests, supervising and reviewing staff work, providing strategic and tactical accounting advice, and delivering exceptional client support.

• Direct field work
• Inform engagement leaders of audit engagement status
• Manage staff performance
• Conduct audit tests sufficient in scope to support professional opinions
• Develop self and others through coaching and engagement experiences
• Build strong working relationships with clients
• Provide review of staff work product and performance
• Deliver exceptional client support virtually and hybrid as needed

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent experience
• 4+ years of progressive public accounting background with in-charge experience
• 2+ years of non-profit experience
• Strong technical accounting skills with proficiency in US GAAP and GAAS
• Ability to manage multiple engagements and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent leadership, recruiting, training, and mentoring skills
• Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills
• CPA certification or eligibility to sit for the CPA exam is highly desirable
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and audit preparation software
• Comfort with virtual work environment and hybrid fieldwork as needed

Pay

The midpoint of the salary range for this role is $85,000. Final offer amount may vary based on factors including experience and geographic location.
