Senior Accountant

About the role

Senior Accountant with experience within Cost and Inventory accounting to assist with supporting financial reporting, monitoring of costs, internal valuation, helping develop and analyze costing models, inventory valuation, including WIP and raw and finished goods, maintain and ensuring audit readiness at all times.

Responsibilities

• Support month, quarter and year end close.
• Perform or review account reconciliations related to inventory, cash, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, accruals, debt, leases.
• Partner with Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain teams to track labor and overhead costs and ensure they are recorded in accordance with GAAP.
• This role will be remote other than reporting to monthly meetings in Morristown, NJ with quarterly travel to Ohio Manufacturing facility.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
• Minimum 3-4 years of work experience in accounting
• Experience in manufacturing or production environments with proficiency in cost accounting
• Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, v-lookups, etc.)
• Big-4 or Mid-Tier auditing experience and / or CPA license preferred
• Public Accounting foundation highly preferred and/or Pharma/Biotech
• Experience with NetSuite is highly preferred or other ERP experience
