Senior Accountant

About the role

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze financial activity to ensure transactions are properly captured and reported.
• Support recurring financial reporting cycles, including monthly, quarterly, and annual deliverables.
• Investigate account fluctuations and provide recommendations to resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare schedules, analyses, and supporting documentation used in corporate reporting.
• Aid in accounting and reporting activities related to long-term assets and contractual commitments.
• Partner with operational teams to improve financial accuracy and resolve reporting issues.
• Develop reports and financial information for internal leadership and external business needs.
• Contribute to the evaluation and enhancement of accounting processes, workflows, and controls.
• Participate in special projects and initiatives that support finance and business objectives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 4-5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Experience in financial reporting, analysis, and general accounting functions.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting practices.
• Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
• CPA or CMA preferred.
• Big 4 public accounting experience helpful.
• Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
• History of job stability.

Qualifications

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Knowledge of GAAP and IFRS.

Skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Experience with financial modeling and budgeting.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
