Senior Accountant

About the role

The Senior Accountant will report directly to the Controller and will be responsible for owning the month-end close process, collaborating with business leaders across the organization, and working in a stable environment with supportive leadership.

Responsibilities

• Work independently to manage the month-end close process
• Support consolidation activities
• Prepare and review journal entries and account reconciliations
• Contribute to annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting
• Analyze budget-to-actual and forecast-to-actual variances
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support organizations with approximately $300M-$350M in annual revenue

Requirements

• 5-7+ years of general ledger accounting experience
• Strong understanding of balance sheet and income statement accounting
• Experience with journal entries and complex account reconciliations
• Consolidations experience
• Experience supporting organizations with approximately $300M-$350M in annual revenue
• Ability and desire to collaborate cross-functionally
• Construction industry experience is a plus, but not required

Qualifications

• CPA certification preferred
• Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle)
