Senior Accountant
About the role
This is a high-impact role for someone who thrives in data-driven environments and enjoys ownership. You’ll lead the monthly field bonus calculation process, overseeing significant payouts and ensuring accuracy, compliance, and insight.
Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end monthly field bonus calculation, including validation and reconciliation of large-scale datasets (over $17M in monthly payouts across 5K+ bonuses)
- Analyze bonus trends, variances, and key drivers to support leadership decision-making
- Prepare ad-hoc reporting and financial analysis for leaders and cross-functional partners
- Partner with operations and finance teams during annual bonus plan reviews
- Lead and support bonus-related projects, including process improvements and system enhancements
- Prepare journal entries such as accruals and reclasses impacting both the P&L and balance sheet
- Analyze month-over-month fluctuations in the consolidated income statement
- Complete balance sheet reconciliations related to bonuses and payroll items
- Support internal and external audit requests while maintaining strong internal controls
- Communicate clearly and confidently with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
- Handle confidential and sensitive financial information with discretion and professionalism
Requirements
Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field and 2+ years of accounting experience with a strong track record of managing and analyzing large datasets accurately and efficiently. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills; experience with D365, Varicent, and Workday is a plus. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. A self-starter mindset - comfortable working independently, managing multiple priorities, and meeting tight deadlines. Ability to stay calm, focused, and effective under time-sensitive or high-pressure situations. Clear communicator who builds trust across teams.

Pay
The pay range for this role is $50,000 - $80,000 annually.
Schedule
This position is located on-site at the Texas Roadhouse Support Center located in Louisville, Kentucky and will work a hybrid schedule.
