Senior Accountant

Responsibilities
- Participate in monthly financial statement preparation
- Maintain and reconcile key general ledger accounts
- Enter AP invoices and obtain required invoice approvals from management, including research and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues
- Prepare and file monthly sales and use tax, property tax, gross receipts tax, and other indirect tax filings
- Aid in the preparation of quarterly and annual income tax projections
- Aid with estimated tax payments and extension calculations
- Maintain tax schedules, workpapers, and supporting documentation for tax returns
- Aid with annual compliance returns and filings
- Ad hoc assignments as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. Advanced degree a plus.
- Minimum of two years of related experience
Skills
- With General Ledger, working knowledge of GAAP or Tax Accounting Principles
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail is a must
- Oracle experience a plus

Compensation Information
The expected salary range for this position (Senior Staff Accountant) in US-MA-Boston is between $78,000 and $106,000 USD. This represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Suffolk’s total compensation package. Actual salaries may be based on several factors including, but not limited to, skill set, experience, education and other qualifications. Suffolk offers a comprehensive benefits package as part of its overall compensation strategy. Salary ranges may differ by geography and are reviewed regularly to reflect market trends.
