Key Responsibilities
- Maintain client books on a real-time basis.
- Prepares financial statements under US GAAP.
- Aids in compliance by developing controls, policies, and procedures.
- Supports multiple client companies, changing contexts throughout the day while maintaining professional work quality.
- Liaises with HR on all payroll-related matters.
- Collaborates with other SGP divisions on special projects.
- Provides information to external accountants for audits and tax returns.
- Coordinates with client company partners (vendors, insurance carriers, etc.) and Surety for bonding facilities.
- Communicates effectively and efficiently, being well-organized and prepared for unorganized client situations.
- Provides thoughtful recommendations supported by data and analysis.
- Assists COO, CFO, Client Managers, and Controller in budget preparation, monitoring, and performance measurement.
- Tracks projects and provides critical cost analysis.
- Supports cash flow management.
- Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements.
- Liaises with service providers for accounting purposes.
- Prepares Board reports.
- Minimum 6 years of relevant experience.
- At least 3 years of experience working with Government Contracts across various industries such as IT, Construction, Defense, etc.
- Hands-on experience and ability to train junior team members on DCAA, FARs, CAS, and other Federal Compliance standards.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, open office environment under high-pressure conditions and multiple deadlines.
- Ready for challenges, capable of prioritizing work, and skilled in utilizing new technology tools.
- Knowledgeable with HR policies and excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Demonstrated team management and interpersonal skills.
- Technology-savvy and proficient in handling video calls, emails, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Adaptable and willing to learn.
