Responsibilities
- Lead and support monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities, including journal entries, account analyses, and financial reporting.
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial records.
- Manage fixed asset accounting, including capitalization, depreciation, and asset tracking.
- Oversee accounting for customer rebate and incentive programs, including accruals and reconciliations.
- Perform cash and bank reconciliations and support cash management activities.
- Assist with inventory and cost accounting, including variance analysis and manufacturing related accounting support.
- Provide oversight and support for Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes.
- Review and approve accounting work prepared by staff while providing guidance and support.
- Support internal and external audits and help maintain strong internal controls.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and reporting capabilities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
- Direct experience in Consumer Products and Manufacturing accounting is required.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, general ledger accounting, and financial reporting.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Experience with ERP systems; Microsoft Dynamics 365 preferred.
- Power BI experience preferred.
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and reconciliation skills.
- Able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- CPA or CPA track preferred.
- Manufacturing and/or cost accounting experience preferred.
- Prior experience reviewing or supervising accounting staff is a plus.
