What You'll Do
- Supervises and assists the daily work of team members including: analyzing, researching, and preparing financial information to meet specific daily and monthly deadlines.
- Reviews team members’ invoice coding, journal entries, balance sheet account reconciliations, and month-end schedules.
- Ensures the accuracy and timely completion of all team financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Affixes team members with cost centers, accounts and budget sets-ups, reviews proposed additions to budgets.
- Manages and delegates ad-hoc reports/assignments as needed.
- Develops and maintains strong working relationships with internal departments; including but not limited to Legal, Human Resources, and Marketing.
- Helps to professionally develop all staff accountants.
- Affixes the development and maintenance of department wide plans, goals and deadlines.
- Oversees the close process.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree from four-year College or University with a degree in accounting
- CPA preferred
- 3-5 years accounting experience; supervisory experience a plus
- Strong understanding and working knowledge of US GAAP
- Advanced experience using MS Office Suite, particularly Excel
