Senior Accountant

Maintain and manage the fixed asset subledger

• Capitalization, depreciation, and asset disposals
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies
• Prepare, reconcile, and submit borrowing base certificates
• Cooking base reporting with internal and external stakeholders
• Reconcile sales tax filings and related accounts across multiple states
• Monitor and respond to tax-related communications and inquiries
• Track, manage, and amortize prepaid expenses on a monthly basis
• Ensure prepaid expenses are accurately recorded within financial reporting periods
• Monitor, analyze, and report on Marketing and Customer-Based accruals and deductions
• Validate promotional activity accounting and related deductions
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes
• Participate in special projects and process improvement initiatives
• Aid in financial reporting and operational accounting functions

Qualifications and Certifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• CPA preferred
• Minimum 12-15 years of progressive accounting experience
• Experience within CPG or manufacturing environments preferred
• Strong understanding of GAAP
• Experience with NetSuite is required
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
