Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and complete journal entries, account reconciliations, rollforwards, and supporting schedules as part of the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statement close process.
- Ensure the integrity of the general ledger and underlying financial data, including appropriate classification, cut-off, and compliance with U.S. GAAP.
- Perform detailed balance sheet and income statement analyses, identify unusual trends or variances, and proactively resolve discrepancies.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with other groups within the organization to ensure that accounting-relevant information is incorporated and processed timely while maintaining high-quality support and documentation for key accounting conclusions, estimates, and close deliverables.
- Support the timely completion of close activities in accordance with the company’s reporting calendar and internal deadlines.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; CPA license a plus.
- Combination of public accounting and/or public company industry experience strongly preferred.
- 3-6+ years of relevant and progressive experience, thereof at least 2 years of experience in an accounting and financial reporting team of a publicly traded company, with preference to the life sciences industry.
- Strong Excel skills, including the ability to work with large data sets, build reconciliations, and perform meaningful analysis.
- Experience working in an ERP environment and using financial systems effectively.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly document and explain accounting matters.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
Pay
Salary Range: $100,000 USD - $115,000 USD
