Key Responsibilities
- Co-own and actively drive the monthly financial close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in accordance with established deadlines
- Prepare and post journal entries with appropriate supporting documentation
- Own the preparation and review of balance sheet account reconciliations, resolving variances and escalating issues as appropriate
- Maintain the integrity of the general ledger and ensure all transactions are recorded in accordance with US GAAP
- Serve as a key contributor to the annual financial statement audit, coordinating with external auditors and preparing requested schedules and documentation
- Serve as a knowledgeable resource for accounting questions across the organization, building trusted relationships with stakeholders
- Proactively identify opportunities to streamline workflows, improve controls, and increase efficiency across accounting processes
- Participate in the company's ERP system implementation, including data migration support, testing, documentation, and transition to new workflows
- Provide support on various accounting and finance related projects
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with a focus on general ledger and financial close
- Strong technical knowledge of US GAAP and the ability to perform and apply relevant accounting research
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, complex formulas, data modeling)
- Experience with accounting systems and ERP platforms; demonstrated ability to quickly adapt to new technology
- Experience supporting or participating in external audits (financial statement, regulatory, or compliance)
- CPA license or active candidate status strongly preferred
- Prior experience participating in an ERP system implementation or migration
- Prior experience in a multi-entity, multi-currency, or global accounting environment
- Public accounting background (Big 4 or regional firm)
- Self-starter who takes initiative and follows through without being prompted

- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously
