Senior Accountant

Essential Functions And Primary Duties

  • Lead engagements
  • Review provider cost reports
  • Analyze health care provider financial information
  • Perform reimbursement calculations
  • Mentor and train staff accountants
  • Provide quality assurance reviews on audit working papers and reports
  • Conduct research to determine billing and reimbursement compliance
  • Coordinate staffing on projects
  • Review applicable Federal and State Medicaid policies and regulations
  • Document scope and findings of audit in accordance with Medicaid or other government program regulations and AICPA standards
  • Work with the defined scope of the project
  • Communicate verbally and in writing with all levels of the organization, both internally and externally
  • Maintain security of and confidentiality of all protected health information

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in accounting or related field
  • CPA, or CPA candidate
  • 3 years' experience in healthcare analytics/auditing, public accounting, or related field
  • Experience with Medicare and Medicaid cost reporting
  • 1 year of supervisory experience
  • Experience running audit engagements
  • Familiarity with database and report writing
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritize assignments
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
