Senior Accountant
About the role
Magna Legal Services provides end-to-end legal support services to law firms, corporations, and governmental agencies throughout the nation. Responsibilities
- Prepare journal entries, reconcile balance sheet accounts, and support the month-end/year-end close process
- Prepare and record revenue journal entries in accordance with company policy and applicable accounting standards
- Analyze invoices and billing data to ensure accurate revenue recognition
- Collaborate with operations and billing teams to resolve revenue discrepancies
- Perform detailed expense reconciliations for corporate credit cards, employee reimbursements, prepaid expenses, and vendor accounts
- Develop and maintain Excel-based reports to analyze financial data and support month-end close and reporting processes
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly bank reconciliations for multiple accounts
- Research cash application transactions
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and operations teams to ensure accurate financial reporting
- Mentor junior accounting staff and provide guidance on accounting procedures
- Perform ad hoc financial analysis as requested by management
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting
- CPA Candidate or CPA Eligible
- 5-8 years of corporate accounting experience
- Strong understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Excellent oral and written communication skills

Pay
The starting salary range for this position is $70,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. Final salary will be determined based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, travel requirements, revenue-based metrics, any contractual agreements, and business or organizational needs.
Schedule
The Senior Accountant position is full-time and works standard business hours.
