About the role

Jones Square is seeking an experienced Accountant to join our team in Plano, TX. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and bookkeeping, with a proven track record of managing payroll and providing financial advice to clients.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Manage payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and compliance with tax laws.
• Provide financial analysis and advice to clients to help achieve their business goals.
• Handle accounts receivable and payable, maintaining accurate records and timely payments.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards and regulations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field required.
• CPA certification preferred.
• At least 3 years of experience in accounting and bookkeeping.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks.
• Experience with payroll systems and tax preparation.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Attention to detail and ability to work independently.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
• Experience with financial modeling and forecasting.
• Knowledge of tax law and regulations.
