Senior Accountant

Job Details:

• We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our dynamic team in the construction industry.
• This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven professional to apply their extensive knowledge and expertise in a fast-paced, challenging environment.
• The successful candidate will play a crucial role in our financial management, including all corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecasts preparation, as well as the development of internal control policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Preparation and consolidation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
• Analyzing and reporting on financial status including income statement variances, communicating financial results to management, budget preparation and analysis.
• Overseeing the financial inventory control process.
• Improving systems and procedures and initiating corrective actions.
• Establishing and maintaining fiscal files and records to document transactions.
• Managing and complying with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
• Ensuring quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
• Working closely with project management teams to create and optimize financial strategies.
• Performing budgeting and forecasting functions, including variance analysis and commentary.
• Assisting with the preparation of year-end accounts and statutory accounts.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Certified Public Accountant or Certified Management Accountant designation preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, preferably in the construction industry.
• Proven experience with annual budgeting and forecasting.
• Solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills.
• Experience with accounting software and databases.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
