Responsibilities

• Lead assigned month-end close activities, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
• Oversee adherence to the established close calendar, coordinating with cross-functional teams to meet reporting deadlines.
• Prepare, review, and approve recurring and adjusting journal entries in accordance with GAAP and company policy.
• Manage the fixed asset accounting process in BNA software.
• Oversee and reconcile daily cash activity to maintain integrity of cash flow reporting.
• Review and analyze inventory balances and variances, preparing monthly reports that support accurate cost of goods sold.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive workpapers and documentation that align with company policies and procedures.
• Provide guidance and backup support to accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date vendor account information in the accounting system.
• Support and mentor junior accounting staff.
• Manage and prioritize the accounting team’s workload, ensuring deadlines are met and resources are allocated effectively.
• Aid management with performance discussions, providing input on individual contributions and identifying areas for improvement.
• Perform additional accounting and financial duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Minimum of 4-5 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and other accounting principles.
• Experience with BNA software and other accounting systems.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong leadership and mentoring abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage deadlines.
• Detail-oriented with high standards for accuracy and precision.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Experience in the Accounting + Finance industry is a plus.

Salary: $85,000 - $95,000 per year
