Senior Accountant

Job Details

• Provide interpretation of financial policies, governmental legislation, accounting theory, or customer financial regulations.
• Participate with outside professional firms on accounting, legal and tax matters.
• Identify trends and recommend improvements accordingly across operations.
• Provides Management with cost and comparative reports to indicate needs for change in pricing or production.
• Review the fixed asset reports to ensure accuracy.
• This includes a review of all assets to ensure the items have not been disposed of without being removed from the fixed asset system.
• Makes recommendations to management regarding cost saving or profit generating opportunities and profitability improvement strategies.
• Develops manufacturing financial reporting and KPI metrics to support factory leadership.
• Collaborates with all levels of management to gather, analyze, summarize, and prepare recommendations regarding financial plans, new business planning, trended future requirements, government requirements, and operating forecasts.
• Works on special projects as required.
• Maintains the quality of the Accounting Department to service the ebm-papst organization.
• Uses the following software programs while performing this job: MAC-PAC, Sequel, PC-FAS Accounting, Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Supports implementation of SAP.

Qualifications

• BS in Accounting or Finance
• Minimum 5 years related work experience in a manufacturing company
