Responsibilities
- Preparing accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Managing the cash accounting process, including cash flow forecasting, and ensuring that all cash transactions are accurately recorded.
- Leading the financial reporting processes, including internal and external reporting, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
- Assisting with budget preparation and financial planning processes.
- Performing variance analyses and preparing account reconciliations.
- Conducting complex financial analysis and reporting on financial performance.
- Collaborating with external auditors, providing necessary information and preparing requested documentations.
- Implementing and maintaining internal financial controls and procedures.
- Providing financial insights and recommendations to the management for decision-making purposes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field. A Master’s degree or CPA certification would be a plus.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or related field, preferably within the energy industry.
- Proficient in financial reporting, cash accounting, and other related accounting practices.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and other accounting principles, laws, and regulations.
- Excellent analytical skills with an attention to detail.
- Strong computer skills, particularly with accounting software and MS Excel.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage large, complex projects, and meet deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.
- High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
