Responsibilities

• Preparing accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
• Managing the cash accounting process, including cash flow forecasting, and ensuring that all cash transactions are accurately recorded.
• Leading the financial reporting processes, including internal and external reporting, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
• Assisting with budget preparation and financial planning processes.
• Performing variance analyses and preparing account reconciliations.
• Conducting complex financial analysis and reporting on financial performance.
• Collaborating with external auditors, providing necessary information and preparing requested documentations.
• Implementing and maintaining internal financial controls and procedures.
• Providing financial insights and recommendations to the management for decision-making purposes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field. A Master’s degree or CPA certification would be a plus.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or related field, preferably within the energy industry.
• Proficient in financial reporting, cash accounting, and other related accounting practices.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and other accounting principles, laws, and regulations.
• Excellent analytical skills with an attention to detail.
• Strong computer skills, particularly with accounting software and MS Excel.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage large, complex projects, and meet deadlines.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.
• High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
