We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Accountant to join our dynamic team in the Engineering industry.
The successful candidate will be responsible for all areas of financial reporting, including year-end financial analysis, reconciliations, and other financial operations. This role will offer the opportunity to work in a fast-paced and challenging environment, where you will play a critical role in driving our company's financial performance and growth.
Responsibilities
- Lead the month-end and year-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Perform financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
- Conduct complex reconciliations of all general ledger accounts.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports, providing clear insights to stakeholders.
- Aid with budget preparation and financial planning processes.
- Ensure compliance with all internal controls, policies, and procedures.
- Proactively identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Collaborate with internal and external auditors during financial and operational audits.
- Provide financial expertise and support to other departments within the organization.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and changes in accounting regulations to ensure compliance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- CPA or equivalent professional accounting designation is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in the Engineering industry.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and regulations.
- Proficient in financial analysis, year-end processes, and reconciliations.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Advanced proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Proactive, self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and experience in managing a team.
