We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Accountant to join our dynamic team in the Engineering industry.

The successful candidate will be responsible for all areas of financial reporting, including year-end financial analysis, reconciliations, and other financial operations. This role will offer the opportunity to work in a fast-paced and challenging environment, where you will play a critical role in driving our company's financial performance and growth.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the month-end and year-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Perform financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Conduct complex reconciliations of all general ledger accounts.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports, providing clear insights to stakeholders.
  • Aid with budget preparation and financial planning processes.
  • Ensure compliance with all internal controls, policies, and procedures.
  • Proactively identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with internal and external auditors during financial and operational audits.
  • Provide financial expertise and support to other departments within the organization.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and changes in accounting regulations to ensure compliance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • CPA or equivalent professional accounting designation is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in the Engineering industry.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and regulations.
  • Proficient in financial analysis, year-end processes, and reconciliations.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Advanced proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Proactive, self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and experience in managing a team.
