About the role

Responsibilities
- Perform month-end and year-end close activities
- Prepare and post journal entries, account reconciliations, and adjusting entries
- Analyze financial statements and identify trends or discrepancies
- Aid in budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit card accounts, and balance sheet accounts
- Support internal and external audits
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies
- Assist with process improvements and implementation of best practices
- Partner with operational leaders to provide financial insights and support business decisions
- Support multi-location accounting functions as needed
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a Staff or Senior Accountant role
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles
- Experience with month-end close and account reconciliations
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Qualifications
- Preferred qualifications include experience with Accounting in the home services, construction, or trades industry, experience with Sage Intacct or Quickbooks, and experience with Service Titan (preferred but not required)
- CPA or CPA candidate (preferred but not required)
- Multi-entity or multi-location accounting experience
