The Senior Accountant
The Senior Accountant will report to the Controller and be a key member of the Corporate Finance team. This role will handle general accounting and financial analysis on operations and oversee month-end/year-end closing processes. Key responsibilities include:
- Handling general accounting and financial analysis on operations
- Taking charge of month end/year end closing processes
- Managing overheads analysis, forecasting and variance reporting
- Preparing budget, forecast and reporting submissions, including risk, opportunity and bridge analysis
- Supporting month-end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, recharges, cost analysis and reconciliations
- Leading distributor margin adjustment reporting and analysis
- Providing insights on trade spend effectiveness and marketing investment performance
- Supporting internal and external audits, GAAP compliance, and sales and use tax reporting
- Developing, testing and improving financial controls, processes and systems to enhance efficiency and compliance
- Leading continuous improvement initiatives and supporting cross-functional projects as required
Salary and Benefits
Salary: $94,000 - $117,000 per annum + Annual Bonus
Vacation Time: 25 days including Holiday Break from December 25th through 31st

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required, MBA preferred
- CPA is preferred
- Demonstrated experience in mid-large size corporate finance environment or public accounting firm
- Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Strong background in financial statement planning and analytics required
- SAP experience is a plus
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel including experience with Macro's and data manipulation
- Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment with all levels of the organization
- Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
