Senior Accountant

Responsibilities

• Perform month end closing responsibilities, including preparing and posting journal entries, inventory movements, and cost allocations.
• Prepare monthly balance sheet account reconciliations for site’s full listing of asset and liability accounts.
• Prepare and analyze monthly and quarterly financial reports.
• Cook up annual budgets and periodic forecasts, including analysis for key variances and operational drivers.
• Provide audit support and liaison with corporate support groups as required.
• Research and apply accounting policies and principles to properly record, report, and maintain financial data.
• Support the design, implementation, documentation, and monitoring of internal controls to ensure compliance with GAAP.
• Maintain inventory standard product costs and finished goods product costing system.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, reporting accuracy, efficiency, and internal controls.
• Calculate, analyze, and explain variances in Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) against budget.
• Other projects and duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Four-year Accounting degree or related field.
• Excellent interpersonal and communications skills, proven collaborator, prepared to take initiative and perform a variety of duties.
• Excellent computer skills (especially Excel, including pivot tables and advanced formulas).
• Experience working in ERP systems.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications: Four-year Accounting degree or related field, excellent interpersonal and communications skills, proven collaborator, prepared to take initiative and perform a variety of duties, excellent computer skills (especially Excel, including pivot tables and advanced formulas), experience working in ERP systems.
• Preferred Qualifications: CPA or CMA certification, cost accounting background in a manufacturing environment, SAP working experience, working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, experience with monitoring and maintaining internal controls.
