Responsibilities
- Own high volume day-to-day accounting operations, including T&E processing, general ledger activity, cash management, and compliance with company policies.
- Support month-end and quarter-end close process including preparation and review of complex journal entries, account reconciliations, fixed asset capitalization, prepaid expense tracking and amortization, and preparation of supporting schedules.
- Assist in preparing GAAP financial statements, including intercompany transactions, trial balance review, technical accounting research, and variance analysis.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with FP&A, Supply Chain, Operations, and Engineering teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and operational alignment.
- Support annual audit initiatives by preparing and delivering timely, accurate documentation to external auditors.
- Drive increased efficiency by identifying opportunities for process improvement, implementing new workflows, AI automation, and systems to streamline operations.
- Assist with ad hoc reporting and support ongoing projects as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
- 3+ years of progressive accounting experience with a blend of public (Big Four preferred) and private experience at a start-up/high-growth technology company
Preferred Requirements
- CPA preferred
- Proficiency in Excel and ERP Systems (i.e. Netsuite)
- Strong understanding of US GAAP
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to navigate the demands of a fast-paced, ever-changing start-up environment.
- Passionate about accounting operations and growth, with a hands-on, roll-up-your sleeves mentality!
