Senior Accountant

Position Overview

The Senior Accountant role at our client's organization blends accounting, financial reporting, analysis, and process improvement responsibilities. This position is ideal for an accounting professional aiming to expand their impact and grow within a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
• Analyze financial results and investigate variances
• Support financial statement preparation and reporting activities
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts
• Absorb and reconcile account balances
• Assist with audits and provide supporting documentation as needed
• Help strengthen internal controls and improve accounting processes
• Collaborate with cross-functional departments to ensure accurate financial reporting
• Support special projects and process improvement initiatives

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles
• Experience with month-end close and account reconciliations
• Proficiency in Excel and accounting systems
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• CPA or CPA-track a plus
