Senior Accountant
Job Summary
As an essential member of the accounting team, you will be responsible for performing the day-to-day accounting activities, such as cash accounting, account reconciliations, and both financial and management reporting. You will be responsible for preparing complex financial reports, developing policies and procedures, initiating process improvements, and maintaining effective internal controls. The Senior Accountant will report to the Accounting Manager. The Senior Accountant will play a key role in the implementation and maintenance of Brightline’s accounting methodologies, strategies, compliance, and other required processes such as the development of controls and the implementation of accounting and finance-related systems.
Experience & Qualifications
Minimum 4+ years of professional experience in a corporate accounting role, preferably in a consumer products, transportation, or hospitality industry. Public and private experience preferred.
Must have current or recent experience with managing monthly financial accounting close processes (e.g., prepaids and accruals) including:
- Preparing/recording journal entries
- Performing/reviewing account reconciliations
- Preparing variance analyses
Experience working with auditors and preparing audit requests (e.g., roll forwards).
Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
A high degree of proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Excel.
Experience in data analytics and reporting.
Experience with NetSuite ERP preferred.
