SENIOR ACCOUNTANT
About the role
The Senior Accountant will ensure the accurate and timely preparation of financial statements and accounting data (revenue, GL). This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to supporting financial operations and controls.
Key Responsibilities
Monthly Close & Reconciliations: Prepare and review journal entries (prepaid, accruals, amortizations, and reclassifications), trial balances, and account reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Financial Reporting: Compile balance sheets, income statements, and financial schedules; coordinate financial reporting for management.
Controls & Compliance: Support internal controls, policies, and audit readiness, including preparing documentation for auditors.
Variance Analysis: Analyze results, investigate discrepancies, and adjust entries as needed to maintain accurate general ledgers.
Process Oversight: Review journal entries from other team members, guide proper input, and participate in AP/AR and client billing functions.
Ad Hoc Projects: Conduct data analysis, reporting, and special financial projects as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (or equivalent experience).
2+ years of accounting experience.
Proficiency with financial systems (Dynamics/SAP a plus) and advanced Excel skills.
Strong communication skills and ability to meet deadlines.
