Senior Accountant
About the role
Support the Accounting Department duties with emphasis on general ledger management, preparation of account reconciliations and journal entry postings, as well as special projects.
Responsibilities
- Cook up with business partners to comprehend the projects and transactions being documented.
- Analyze transactions and balances to make sure they are appropriately recorded in the general ledger.
- Prepare and review routine recurring and non-recurring journal entries.
- Prepare monthly general ledger reconciliations.
- Aid in the monthly, quarterly and annual accounting close process.
- Aid in the preparation of key internal reporting.
- Prepare required documentation for financial audits and reviews.
- Aid in the maintenance of Sarbanes Oxley compliance.
- Add-on responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting.
- 3-5+ years’ experience in corporate accounting or equivalent public accounting experience.
- CPA - Strongly preferred.
- Oracle ERP experience - Preferred.
- High degree of proficiency with standard Microsoft Office and Google Workspace products.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.
- Self-motivated with critical attention to detail.
- Strong analytical, prioritization, interpersonal, problem-solving, and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated collaborative skills and ability to work well within a team.
