Senior Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our finance organization under the direction of the Director of Corporate Accounting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly journal entries for the accounting close process.
• Perform reconciliations of the company’s various balance sheet accounts of the general ledger to ensure the accuracy and completeness of the monthly closing.
• Perform day-to-day accounting tasks such as cash reconciliations and vendor invoice coding.
• Prepare various audit schedules, pull supporting documents, and help answer questions as requested by external auditors during their field audit work.
• Aid in the coordination and preparation of revenue and expense summary schedules.
• Support various accounting projects as assigned.
• Identify problems and inefficiencies within accounting processes and suggest and implement improvements.
• Provide assistance with new system conversion and enhancements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting
• At least three years of professional accounting work experience
• Experience in public accounting or with a SEC reporting company preferred
• Knowledge of both QuickBooks Online and SAP preferred

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of US GAAP
• Ability to independently plan, prioritize and carry out simultaneous projects and meet deadlines
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization through verbal and written communication
• Accuracy and attention to detail
• Working knowledge of PC based applications, especially Microsoft Excel and Word
• Occasional travel required
