About the role
The Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Oversee the month-end closing process, including journal entries and reconciliations.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data, and prepare financial forecasts and budgets.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate cost allocation and reporting.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, and maintain accurate records.
- Perform variance analysis and provide insights to management on areas requiring improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in accounting or finance.
- CPA certification preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks or similar.
Qualifications
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
Skills
- Advanced proficiency in accounting principles and practices.
- Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Experience with financial modeling and budgeting.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
