Senior Accountant

About the role

The Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Oversee the month-end closing process, including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data, and prepare financial forecasts and budgets.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate cost allocation and reporting.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, and maintain accurate records.
• Perform variance analysis and provide insights to management on areas requiring improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in accounting or finance.
• CPA certification preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks or similar.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.

Skills

• Advanced proficiency in accounting principles and practices.
• Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Experience with financial modeling and budgeting.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
