Senior Accountant - AI Evaluator | Remote

What You Will Do

• Evaluate AI-generated outputs for accuracy, reasoning quality, and domain correctness across accounting scenarios
• Translate real-world accounting workflows into structured tasks used for AI training
• Identify gaps, edge cases, and reasoning errors that only a practitioner with hands-on experience would catch
• Document your assumptions, thought processes, and decision logic clearly in written form
• Provide structured feedback that engineering teams use directly to improve AI model performance

Domain Focus

• Month-end and year-end close processes
• Journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations
• Financial reporting and compliance
• GAAP and IFRS standards
• Audit procedures and internal controls

Requirements

• 5 to 8 or more years of experience in accounting, audit, or financial operations
• Strong working knowledge of GAAP
• Hands-on ERP experience, including one or more of the following: NetSuite, SAP, or QuickBooks - CPA preferred

Work Style and Expectations

• All work is completed asynchronously via Slack and Verita AI's internal tools
• No fixed schedule and no mandatory meetings
• Full flexibility over when and how you work, provided you maintain consistent engagement throughout the week
• The minimum commitment is 10 hours per week, with 15 to 20 or more hours per week strongly preferred

Compensation

• $100 to $125 per hour (USD)
• Paid fortnightly via Deel
• Long-term engagement structure
