About the role
The Senior Accountant (Accounting Operations) at Tixr will play a crucial role in supporting the financial and operational needs of the company. This position is a blend of technical accounting expertise and a focus on process improvement and automation.
Responsibilities
- Own key areas of the close while helping redesign workflows, drive automation, and modernize how accounting operates.
- Support and own key components of the monthly, quarterly, and annual close in accordance with GAAP.
- Prepare and review reconciliations, journal entries, and flux analysis.
- Ensure accuracy of revenue recognition, client reporting, and payout processes.
- Strengthen internal controls, documentation, and reporting processes.
- Support audits and partner with external tax advisors (income + sales/use tax).
- Identify inefficiencies across accounting workflows and help redesign them.
- Drive automation, system improvements, and process standardization.
- Leverage AI and modern tools to improve speed, accuracy, and visibility.
- Build scalable, repeatable processes to support growth.
- Partner with Sales, Operations, and Product to align financial and operational workflows.
- Translate financial data into insights that support decision-making.
Requirements
- 4+ years of accounting experience (High-growth startup operators preferred).
- Strong GAAP foundation with hands-on close experience.
- Demonstrated interest in process improvement, systems, or automation.
- Able to operate in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.
- Experience with tools like Stripe, QuickBooks Online, Ramp, Notion, or similar.
- Familiarity with AI tools, with a strong interest in applying them.
- Working knowledge of sales/use tax is a plus!
Qualifications
- College degree in Accounting or Finance.
- CPA certification preferred but not required.
Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with financial software such as QuickBooks Online.
- Knowledge of GAAP and IFRS.
- Understanding of tax laws and regulations.
- Experience with project management tools.

$90,000 – $110,000 + Bonus + Equity.
