About the Role
Develop and maintain favorable internal and external relationships to provide the highest level of customer service by meeting or exceeding industry standards. Oversee the servicing of a designated book of business related to marketing, claims, and administration.
Responsibilities
- Research root causes of issues, implement solutions, and resolve policy-related matters.
- Recommend enhancements or improvements to processes, products, and policies.
- Use discretion and independent judgment to analyze industry trends and provide client guidance.
- Develop financial models and reports for clients and senior staff, including interpretation, implications, and recommendations.
- Provide expertise in strategic planning and consultative advice, including coverage plan analysis and recommendations.
- Engage in client strategy meetings to manage insured expectations for upcoming terms.
- Develop and present coverage plans and renewal terms to clients.
- Assess and interpret exposure information from clients.
- Analyze carrier quotes to determine appropriate recommendations.
- Interpret and evaluate policy terms to ensure adequate coverage for client exposures.
- Facilitate client premium financing.
- Participate in negotiations with carriers for new and renewal quotes.
- Collaborate with senior staff in selecting new markets for submission and requesting quotes.
- Review new business opportunities and provide recommendations to Unit Manager/Account Executive.
- Establish and maintain relationships with clients, carriers, and vendors.
- Research and understand industry trends and government regulations.
- Mentor and train junior-level staff.
- Perform other responsibilities and duties as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related field and/or equivalent years of experience.
- More than 7 years of client services experience, preferably in the brokerage industry.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
- Understanding of industry trends and governmental regulations.
- Ability to complete continuing education requirements as needed.
- Ability to attend company, department, and team meetings, including industry training sessions.
- Compliance with all company policies and procedures, including confidentiality of client and company information.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills to meet deadlines.
- Ability to travel by automobile and aircraft.
- Proficiency in using office equipment such as computers, keyboards, calculators, photocopiers, and facsimile machines.
- Ability to work on a computer for prolonged periods.
- Willingness to work outside of normal business hours as needed.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States.
