About the role

We’re looking for a strategic, revenue-minded Account Manager who can own post-sale client relationships across a book of 70+ active accounts. You’ll ensure flawless campaign delivery, deepen client partnerships, and identify new opportunities for growth. This role is a mix of relationship management, strategic consulting, and data-driven performance analysis.

What You’ll Do

  • Own post-sale client relationships, ensuring satisfaction, retention, and growth.
  • Lead client onboarding, campaign management, and delivery in collaboration with Ad Ops.
  • Proactively identify renewal and upsell opportunities across your account base.
  • Analyze campaign performance, communicate insights, and deliver actionable recommendations.
  • Partner closely with Sales, Ops, and Ad Ops to streamline handoffs and improve execution.
  • Maintain accurate forecasting, pipeline, and account health data in HubSpot.
  • Prioritize your book of business by potential, ensuring the right level of service across accounts.
  • Surface process improvements and client insights to help shape TLDR’s product and sales strategy.

What Success Looks Like

  • 90%+ renewal rate across managed accounts.
  • 120%+ net revenue retention (NRR) within 12 months.
  • Consistent 10–20% quarterly upsell growth.
  • 98%+ on-time, error-free campaign delivery.
  • Clear, trusted forecasting and account reporting cadence.
  • Strong collaboration with AEs and Ad Ops on key accounts.

About You

  • 3+ years of Account Management or Client Success experience in digital media, advertising, or newsletters.
  • Proven track record of owning renewals, upsells, and revenue targets.
  • Strong understanding of campaign metrics, reporting, and optimization.
  • Proficient in CRM tools (HubSpot or equivalent) and revenue forecasting.
  • Exceptional communication and relationship management skills.
  • Comfortable managing a large, diverse book of business.
  • Collaborative, organized, and confident working autonomously.
  • A+ Skills: You’ve managed advertising or sponsorship campaigns end-to-end. You balance empathy with commercial instincts — both client-first and performance-driven. You thrive in high-growth, fast-moving environments with evolving processes. You think like a partner, not a vendor — and can speak the language of tech and media.

Why You'll Love It

  • Compensation: $145-163K OTE (75/25 split between base and commission)
  • Location: We’re a 100% remote company distributed across the US and Canada
  • Team Events: Annual team offsite. Tell us where we should go next!
  • Time to Recharge: Flexible PTO. Most team members will enjoy 2-3 weeks off per year + holidays
  • Health Benefits: Comprehensive medical, dental and vision benefits with 100% paid option
  • 401(k) Plan: Empower 401(k)
  • Paid Parental Leave: 12 weeks paid leave for birthing and non-birthing parents
  • 💻Home Office Stipend: We're on Macbook Air M4s. Get a new monitor, headset, and chair on us.
  • _learning & Development Stipend: We are a curious group that believes in learning.
  • Autonomy and Agency: Contribute to the growth of one of the largest newsletters in the world.
  • 💼If you're ready to make a tremendous impact at a bootstrapped and profitable startup, please apply.
