We are currently seeking a strategic Senior Account Manager to join our dynamic team in the fast-paced trade show industry.

Responsibilities

  • Unearth new sales opportunities and convert them into long-term partnerships.
  • Lead day-to-day business objectives and manage ongoing expectations for current clients through professional reporting and attention to detail.
  • Regularly meet with clients to serve as a primary point of contact and problem-solver between clients and all internal departments and vendor partners.
  • Define client marketing strategies and present creative design and budget proposals, ensuring alignment with brand and project objectives.
  • Collaborate with the account team to discuss upcoming work, review current projects, and identify additional immediate needs.
  • Manage multiple projects, handle schedule changes, and meet tight deadlines.
  • Monitor client project costs and ensure healthy company profit margins.
  • Work closely with internal departments to facilitate smooth communication.
  • Become thoroughly familiar with clients' inventory, graphics, and booth assets, as well as their yearly trade show and event schedules.
  • Negotiate contracts, invoice payments, secure payment terms, and resolve billing disputes.
  • Evaluate tradeshow/meeting results with clients and provide constructive recommendations for future events.
  • Travel to client tradeshow/events as required, working extended hours and weekends when necessary.

Requirements

  • Proven success in customer service and project management.
  • Knowledgeable about the clients' industry and business activities to offer more strategic and personalized solutions.
  • Ability to connect and engage with a variety of personalities both on the client and internal organization.
  • Experience in managing vendors, clients, and onsite event support.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Confidence in leading and communicating (both written and orally) with clients and internal staff.
  • Superior problem-solving skills and a quick thinker.
  • Ability to make tough decisions independently with initiative.
  • Anticipate obstacles and maintain a sense of urgency.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook).

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Advertising, Public Relations, or a related field, or equivalent sales leadership experience.
  • 7-10 years of account management/project management experience in the trade show industry.
