Senior Account Executive - Parcel

About the position

An Application Operations Engineer is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and performance of software applications, primarily in a production environment. This role typically combines both development and operations skills to software deployment, systems operation, systems monitor, support applications, monitor their performance, and handle incident management.

Responsibilities

• Deployment of applications to different environments (Quality Assurance, Alpha, Release Candidate, Production).
• Execute automated Smoke Tests.
• System monitoring and response time to meet SLAs.
• Making sure system monitor alerts are acted upon.
• Developing, testing, documenting, and communicating system monitors.
• Working closely with developers to ensure new features and applications meet operational standards.

Qualifications and Skills Required

• 3+ years of experience as an Application Operations Engineer or similar role.
• A Computer Science, IT Operations, or related bachelor’s degree – may be substituted for relevant work experience.
• Understanding of application deployment strategies including CI/CD using pipelines.
• Knowledge of Backend, Frontend, and API development.
• Experience with programming languages preferably TypeScript.
• Knowledge of application hosting services (e.g., Kubernetes, NGINX, Azure App Services).
• Understanding of SQL databases, and database deployment strategies (SQL Azure).
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Knowledge of monitoring tools (Kibana Dashboard, Site 24*7, Datadog or Azure Monitor).
• Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to quickly identify the root cause of application issues.
• Good communication skills for reporting incidents, collaborating on optimizations, and presenting to team.
• Familiarity with application lifecycle management and operational practices.
• Experience with JIRA.
